Moeris, No. 1928, Swiss, circa 1930. "L'Autel de 1'Amour" Very fine 18K gold and enamel, Art Deco, keyless dress-watch. Double body, massive, "variee carrure plate", bezels and band with a blue champleve enamelled decoration, the back enamel panel with a finely painted scene, depicting Venus playing with cloves in front of the altar of Love. Mother-of-pearl with Breguet numerals and subsidiary seconds. Blued steel hands. Notes Moeris was specialised in this type of watches, usually produced for Ferrocarril de Antioquia.
