Fine and rare large tonneau-shaped, water-resistant, tungstenbombarded “1200 Vickers” stainless steel wristwatch with round button chronograph, 12-hour and 30-minute registers, tachometer and a stainless steel Omega bracelet with deployant clasp. To be sold without reserve Two-body, “Pilot-line”, massive, polished and brushed, inclined tungsten bezel, integral crown and pusher guard, hooded lugs, screw-down back with Seamaster logo. Black with applied luminous steel baton indexes, subsidiary dials for the seconds in black, the 12-hour and 30-minute registers in red, outer minute/seconds and 1/5th seconds divisions on a blue reserve, outermost white inclined tachometer scale graduated to 500 UPH. Luminous black and white baton hands, orange chronograph hands. Cal. 861, copper-plated, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock absorber, self-compensating flat balance spring, index regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. One of two watches in the durable metal collection, this watch has had its bezel bombarded with a coating of tungsten, which is a hard, scratch-resistant metal. The movement in these watches is “suspended” in a separate container within the case between two o-rings, to afford maximum shock protection. This reference is called the “Anakin Skywalker” by collectors.
