Her passion and range has allowed her to play a gamut of roles ranging from vulnerable to strong with equal success. She most recently starred in Sam Mendes' smash revival of "Cabaret", a Roundabout Theater Production, for which she won the Tony and Drama Desk Awards. She also starred in "Anna Christie" at the Roundabout, for which she was nominated for both a Tony and Drama Desk Best Actress, as well as receiving an outstanding debut Award from the Outer Critics Circle. Some of her theater credits include "High Society" on the West End, and "The Seagull " on the West End (London Drama Critics Award, Most Promising Newcomer), among others. Richardson's television credits include PBS' Great Performances "Suddenly Last Summer, " directed by Sir Richard Eyre, and the title role on TNT's "Zelda " for which she was nominated for a Cable ACE award.
