Swiss, in the style of John Rich, made for the Islamic Market, circa 1790. Rare 18K gold and enamel scent bottle with built-in watch and carillon musical movement. Three body, designed as a scent bottle entirely decorated in pink flinque enamel with painted ribbons and garlands of flowers, the hinged front lid with dial and balance apertures, the back centred with a painted landscape within rose-cut set frame of leaves enamelled en pate, the band and borders decorated en suite. Gold cap with built-in screwed key and diamond-set bow. Small white enamel with Turkish numerals. Rose-cut diamond set Louis XV hands. Inverted gilt brass, unusual calibre designed as an urn the plate finely engraved with foliage, going barrel, cylinder escapement, silver three-arm rose-cut diamond set balance, flat balance spring. Musical pindrum carillon movement, striking on four bells with five hammers. Height 103 mm. including the bow.
