Swiss, circa 1780. Fine and rare, Neuchateloise hour and quarter striking bracket clock, with organ. Shaped green painted, glazed door applied with gilt-bronze foliage and musucal trophies, gilt frame to the door and dial, pierced gilt-bronze feet of strapwork with entwined foliage, gilt-metal shoulder decoration and beading of scrolled leaf-forms, the arch applied with chased gilt bronze foliage with central female head. Pediment surmounted by giltbronze foliage and musical trophies and matching bracket. White enamel with roman numerals and outer Arabic minutes ring. Gilt-brass pierced and engraved Louis XV hands. Brass, rectangular plated, two train, going barrels to both trains, verge escapement, flat bob pendulum with silk thread suspension, striking work within the back plate and Neuchateloise external locking plate, striking on two bells. Musical movement: Weight driver,originally with fusee and chain, attributable to Robert, with fly regulator, 23 cm. Wooden pin cylinder and 16 pipes, rectangular bellow. Dim. 150 x 55 x 28 cm.
