Interesting, 9K gold-filled, keyless digital jumping-hour watch with retrograde fly-back minute hand. four-body, “demi-bassine”, back cover engine-turned in a Barleycorn pattern, gold hinged cuvette etched in the Art Nouveau style. gilded, engine-turned center, top with retrograde Arabic minute scale, aperture for the jump hours below 12 o’clock. Notes The mechanism is based on a Swiss Patent No. 27838, issued to Gabriel Lopez Mantaras of Saragosse, and registered on May 5, 1903. Modernista was Courvoisier Freres trademark, registered in 1903, for marketing Mantaras system watches.
