Fine, 18K gold, hunting-cased, keyless quarter-repeating watch with chronograph. four-body, “bassine et filets” with concave bezels, polished front, monogrammed back, reeded edges of the bezels, gold hinged cuvette over glazed gold bezel for viewing the movement. white enamel, Roman numerals, inner Arabic 24-hour chapter, outer minute divisions, outermost chronograph ring, subsidiary sunk seconds, “Spade” gold hands. Notes The company was established in the 1860’s. In 1888 their trademark was reassigned to Charles Humbert Fils. Since its case bears the older mark, this watch must be from the transition period.
