Very fine, rectangular, 18K pink gold gentleman’s wristwatch with an 18K gold plated Jaeger LeCoultre buck-le, mahogany wood and beige leather fitted box and certificate. three-body, solid, polished, reeded bezel, transparent case back. matte and “guilloché” silver dial with “rayons de soleil” pattern, applied gold dart and cabochon pink gold indexes, “guilloché” silver auxiliary seconds dial. “Dauphine” pink gold hands. Cal. 822, skeleton, 14K engraved gold, 21 jewels, lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock-absorber, self-compensating flat balance-spring. Dial and case signed. Dim. 26 x 42 mm. Notes The “Reverso” wristwatch was created by Jaeger LeCoultre in 1931. Its case is tightly mounted into a “carriage”, which straps to the wrist. The case can be moved along a “track” within the carriage and turned over to protect the crystal and the dial. The design of this watch embodies the style of the Art Deco period. It is still in production today.
