Vari-coloured gold, applied polished gold Roman chapters on engine-turned chapter ring, outer minute dot divisions, the border with applid foliage, subsidiary sunk seconds. Blued-steel fleur de lis hands. Commander of the American forces in the Revolutionary War (1775-1783), he presided over the Second Constitutional Convention (1787) and was elected President of the fledgling country (1789).
