Louÿs Prevost, Geneva, case by L. Arpin fecit, circa 1710.Very fine and rare, silver, pair-cased, astronomical, single-hand watch with manual perpetual calendar and moon phases. Notes L. Arpinis unlisted, however the 'Dictionnaire des Horlogers Genevois', by Osvaldo Patrizzi, Antiquorum Editions, Geneva, 1998, lists one Jonas Arpin working as a chaser in the second half of the 17th century, which seems to be too much of a coincidence to believe that they were not related.
