Very fine and rare silver single-hand alarm watch. 31.7 mm o, gilt brass full plate, elaboratharp-shaped pierced and engraved pillars, fusee and gut line for the going train, verge escapement, three arm steel circular foliot, short-footed trefoil pattern gilded cock, pierced and engraved, worm and wheel set-up with silver adjustment plate, alarm driven by a pierced and engraved fixed barrel, striking on a bell mounted inside the case.Signed on the back plate.Diam. 40 mm. Published in the Sandberg book, pages 88-89. Notes Pierre de Mominis listed as having been active in Lyon between 1640 and 1675, his son André established in Geneva in 1681.
