Unsigned, Geneva, circa 1830. Fine and rare 18 ct. gold and enamel, pearl-set, pendant form watch, with visible diamond-set balance, in the shape of an escutcheon, accompanied by a gold chatelaine with a pencil and a seal. Two-body, spring-loaded back decorated with a painted flower against translucent blue enamel over engine-turning, opening to reveal the winding and setting apertures, bezels set with half-pearls. The chatelaine has three chains coming from a Maltese Cross, one finished with a propelling pencil, one with a seal, and the third with a hook for the watch. Oval, translucent dark blue enamel, on the lower portion white enamel dial with Breguet hour numerals and outer minute divisions, above, theaperture for the balance oscillating against polished and blued-steel plate.
