Unsigned, Geneva, probably Pierre Simon Gounouilhou, circa 1820. Very fine and extremely rare 18 ct. gold octagonal pearl-set quarter repeating ring watch with special escapement and visible, diamond-set balance. Octagonal top housing the watch, screwed pearl-set bezel, fluted lower part of band, polished sliding panel at the bottom to reveal the winding and setting holes, fluted shank which divides at the ends.
