Very fine and unusual, horizontal oval, self-winding, large, 18K pink gold gentleman’s wristwatch with 38 hours autonomy, inspired by one of the most impor-tant inventions of the 18th century, “The Aperture Watch”, with 18K pink gold Audemars Piguet deploy-ant clasp. Accompanied by a fitted box. two-body, solid, polished and brushed, back with 6 screws, curved straight lugs. grey and off-white, the hours graduation on three translucent sapphire discs, each with four painted black stylized hour indicators, on the right, sector indicating the 59 minutes in painted Arabic numerals and indexes underlined by an off-white painted decoration, at the center, a rhodium-plated wheel with three arms, carrying the spring-loaded rotating star wheel sapphire discs. Cal.2224, rhodium-plated, “fausses côtes” decoration, 35 jewels, lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, shock-absorber, self-compensating flat balance-spring, 21K gold rotor segment.
