"GMT-Master" Rolex, “Oyster Perpetual Date, GMT-Master, Superlative Chronometer, Officially Certified”, Ref. 16750. Made from 1979 to 1988. Fine, two-time zone, center-seconds, self-winding, waterresistant, stainless steel gentleman’s wristwatch with 3 hands, red and blue bezel, date and a Rolex stainless steel Jubilée bracelet. Accompanied by the original fitted box and warranty (now void). Three-body, polished and brushed, screwed-down case back and crown with the "Crown-Guard", graduated revolving red and blue bezel for the second time-zone in 24 hours, crystal with "Cyclops" lens. Black with luminous round, bâton and triangular indexes, aperture for the date. Luminous steel "skeleton" hands, red arrow for the second time zone. Cal. 3075, 27 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to temperatures and 5 positions, shock-absorber, self-compensating Breguet balance-spring. The first version of the GMT-Master was, like many of Rolex's other great "Professional" watches, the result of a joint development team. On this occasion it was the efforts of Rolex's research and development and Pan American Airlines pilots which resulted in the launch of the Ref. 6542 in 1954.
