Very fine and rare 18K gold and painted enamel triple-cased clockwatch with quarter repeat. Outer: two-body, glazed back, scalloped edges, bezels decorated with pale blue, green, red and white enameland pierced stylised flower heads, diamond set thumb-piece. Middle: two-body, scalloped edges, pierced bezeldecorated with green, blue, red and white enamel, back painted with a harbor scene with fully rigged ship andlighthouse under an opalescent sky, red translucent enamel and pierced border decorated to match the bezel,diamond set thumb-piece. Inner: two-body, hinged bezel decorated with green and red champleve enamel andgold foliage, "silent/strike" within the design, the body with foliate pierced band intersected with enamel reserves,back decorated with a coastal view with the same ship in a new port under an opalescent sky, translucentpie-crust border, diamond set stem. White enamel, Islamic numerals, minute markers and Islamic five-minutemarkers. Gold “beetle and poker” hands. 31 mm., frosted gilt full-plate with cylindrical pillars, twin standingbarrels, cylinder escapement, steel balance wheel, pierced and chased foliate cock with diamond endstone,gilt dust cover, striking on a bell and repeating activated by depressing the pendant.Dial and movement signed.Diam. 53 mm.
