Very fine, rare and important, keyless, diamond, sapphire, citrine and ruby-set 18K yellow gold lady's form watch set on a brooch. Double-body, designed as a Chinese lantern with 2 blue enamel panels decorated with red Chinese characters, set with diamonds, sapphires, rubies, lapis and citrines, hinged two-body inner case for the watch. Champagne with applied yellow gold round indexes and painted Roman numerals. Yellow gold and black "baton" hands. Cal. 282, rhodium-plated, 15 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self-compensating balance spring. Dial, case and movement signed. Inner case diam. 17 mm. Dim. 39 x 62 mm. Thickness 19 mm. Notes This type of watch is very rare for Rolex, this is the first Rolex lady’s form watch we have seen with a Chinese motif.
