Very fine, astronomic, self-winding, 18K pink gold gentleman's wristwatch with perpetual calendar, moon phases and an 18K yellow gold Patek Philippe buckle. Accompanied by certificate of origin. Two-body, solid, polished, stepped concave bezel, transparent case back, concave lugs, sapphire crystals. Matte silver with painted radial Roman numerals, subsidiary dials for the days of the month, of the week, the months, the 24 hours and the leap year, aperture for the moon phases. Black oxidized gold "alpha" hands. Cal. 240/114, stamped with the Seal of Geneva quality mark, rhodium-plated, "fausses côtes" decoration, 27 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, free-sprung Gyromax balance adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, shock absorber, self-compensating flat balance spring, 22K gold micro-rotor mounted on ball bearings. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 36 mm. Thickness 8 mm. Notes For a note on Ref. 3940, see lot 339. This lot is particularly interesting due to its very unusual dial, which was probably made on special order as per the customer’s request.
