"Agate Desk Timepiece" Lacloche Freres, Paris, No. 152324. Made circa 1910. Fine and rare, agate and sapphire-set desk timepiece. Square, agate with shaped borders, pierced leaf and berry bezel set with cabochon sapphires, silvered back with hinged strut. Matte silvered with radial Arabic numerals, outer minute track, engine-turned center. Rose-cut diamond-set pierced hands. 20’’’, Circular, rhodium-plated, “fausses cotes” decoration, 15 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Dial and case signed. Dim. Height 8.5 cm., length 8.5 cm.
