Ref. 6150 Rolex, “Oyster Perpetual Precision”, Ref. 6150. Made in 1953. Fine and rare, center seconds, self-winding, water-resistant, stainless steel wristwatch with a stainless steel Rolex folded Oyster bracelet Three-body, polished and brushed, screw-down case back and crown, inclined bezel, concave lugs. Black with luminous Arabic numerals and baton indexes, outer minutes/seconds divisions. Luminous skeleton hands. Notes The Ref. 6150 was the first Explorer to be fitted with Mercedes hands. By late 1953, the 6150 had become the 6350. Promotional material for the Explorer described it as the 'reinforced Oyster' and emphasized its tough construction and reliability in harsh conditions.
