Very fine, large, curved tonneau-shaped, water-resistant, 18K yellow gold chronometer wristwatchwith an 18K yellow gold Wempe buckle. Accompanied by a Guarantee and booklet. To be sold without reserve Two-body, tonneau-shaped, polished, transparent back secured by four screws, sapphire crystals. Frosted silver with painted black baton indexes and Arabic quarter-hour numerals, outer minute divisions, subsidiary seconds. Yellow gold dauphine hands. Cal 94, 32 x 27 mm., tonneau-shaped, rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 23 jewels, some in screwed gold chatons, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to 5 positions, self-compensating flat balance spring, shock absorber, swan-neck micrometer regulator, hand-engraved balance cock. Dial and movement signed. Dim. 45 x 37 mm. Thickness 10 mm. Notes This timepiece was tested by the branch office of the LMET (Thuringian State Office for Measurements and Standards) in the chronometer testing laboratory of the observatory at Sternwarte. To have the right to be inscribed "Chronometer" in compliance with DIN 8319, the movement must be tested and found not to have lost more than four seconds or gain more than six seconds per day. The movements for this series of watches are made specially for Wempe by the Nomos Watch Company.
