Minute-Repeating and Split-Seconds Chronograph with Guillaume Balance Hausmann & Co. , (Rome), No. 35790. Made circa 1910. Extremely fine and rare, heavy and large, minute-repeating, 18K yellow gold, hunting-cased, keyless pocket watch with split-seconds chronograph, instantaneous 30-minute register and "Extra" movement with Guillaume balance. Accompanied by the original Hausmann & Co., Roma fited box with hinged presentation stand and Hausmann & Co. certificate with envelope. Four-body, "bassine", polished, rectangular buttons in the band for the chronograph and split-seconds. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel with Breguet numerals, outer minute track, outermost fifths of a second divisions and Arabic five-second numerals, subsidiary dial for the seconds at 6 and the 30-minute register at 12. Yellow gold spade hands. Notes The present watch is of particularly high quality. The movement is inscribed "Extra", a feature found only on watches with a very high standard of finish, this watch also has a Guillaume balance, a very unusual feature in a watch with a repeating mechanism.
