Three-body, solid, polished, flat bezel, oversized straight and lapidated lugs. Matte silver with applied yellow gold hexagonal faceted indexes, outer minute and seconds divisions. Yellow gold alpha hands. Cal. P1008/BS, stamped with the Seal of Geneva quality mark, rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 19 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, beryllium balance with timing screws, adjusted to temperatures, shock absorber, self-compensating Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometer regulator, hack mechanism. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 35 mm. Thickness 11 mm. Notes Chronomètre Royal Vacheron & Constantin registered the name “Chronomètre Royal” on May 28, 1907. The first of these were a series of pocket watches delivered to Brazil. Production of the Chronomètre Royal continued in wristwatch form until the 1970s. The main difference between the Chronomètre Royal and the standard production of Vacheron Constantin was the hacking seconds hand, which allows the wearer to set the time precisely by stopping the seconds hand when the crown is in the hand-set position.
