Pendule de Bureau Cartier Paris, No. 407. Made circa 1930. Very fine and rare "Pendule de bureau," 18K yellow gold 8-day going desk clock. Square, gold set with four pyramid cabochons, applied black and blue enamel in geometric floral pattern. Silver with black painted Arabic numerals, black painted inner track, engine-turned sunburst pattern center. Single-cut diamond-set hands. Gilt brass, 12 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance adjusted to 2 positions, Breguet balance spring. Case signed, case and movement numbered. Dim. 8 x 8 cm.
