Very fine and rare, 18K yellow gold, keyless, pocket watch with split-seconds chronograph. Accompanied by document copy of history of the owner, his various businesses and Benedict Brothers. Four-body, "bassine," split-second chronograph push-button at 11 o`clock, hinged gold cuvette engraved: Summer Ballard a Token of Respect and Appreciation from William Dodsworth and his Sons, case back engraved with initials SB. White enamel with black radial Breguet numerals, outer 1/5th seconds track with 5-second red Arabic markers, sunk subsidiary seconds dial at 6 and 30-minute register at 12. Blued steel spade hands. Cal. 40 mm.(16 1/2```), "Superior Movement," 21 jewels, straight-line calibrated lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometer regulator.
