Persian, 20th century. Fine similar pair of silver overlay glass decanters or bottles, probably 875 silver, both having chain linked stopper mounted to the collar over pierced foliage motif at the shoulders joining a tall rectilinear body with four sides having an arched 'window', one decanter enclosing intricate and interlaced tree of life design over panels decorated with camels and deer, the other with interlaced, scrolling foliage over panels decorated with camels, rabbits and deer, both decanters with continuous and intricate hammered designs of birds amidst scrolling foliage, the bottoms pierced with six petal flower, the center hallmarked in Farsi script. Approximate height 11.4", square base width 3".
