Gold cuvette, engine- turned on the border, engraved with the dedication : From the President of the United States, to E May Cock, Master of the British steamship Defender, in recognition of his human services in effecting the rescue at sea, on December 18, 1926, of certain members of the crew of the shipwrecked UNITED STATE COAST GUARD CUTTER LINCOLN. White enamel, three pieces, with Arabic numerals, outer red Arabic minute ring and subsidiary seconds. Blued steel "spade" hands. Notes In 1926 the President of the United-States was Calvin Coolidge (1872-1933) Republican Vice-President of President Warren G. Harding, he is elected as the 30th President on 4 November 1924 with the largest majority achieved by the Republican Party, up to that date.
