Vacheron & Constantin, Genève, No. 8323, first part of the XIXth. century. Fine 18 ct. two coloured gold watch set with amethysts. Double body "forme quatre baguettes fermée", with engine-turned band, amethyst set chased bezels, the cover with eccentric dial aperture, a bunch of flowers finely chased in two coloured gold and set with amethyst on amati ground. The back profusely chased with flowers and set with amethyst, on amati ground. Gold engine-turned with Roman numerals on a small eccentric polished chapter. Blued steel Breguet hands. GiIt brass full plate, with cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement with plain brass three armed balance, flat balance spring and ruby endstone. Signed on the back plate. In very good condition. Diam. 39mm. Notes This watch is certainly one of the very first watches produced after the association between Vacheron and Constantin.
