Two part engine-turned on all surfaces and decorated with blue translucent enamel with applied foliage spandrels and corner mounts. Hinged compartment for a key. Lid enamelled with a lakeside landscape (invisible repair), the interior with a panel of flowers. Foliage engraved gilt brass grille. Multi-coloured feathered bird with moving body, wings, tail, opening beak and turning head.
