Robin, Horloger du Roi, à Paris, No. 1307, circa 1848. Unusual 18 ct. gold, quarter repeating, keyless pocket chronometer. Four body, "demi-bassine et filets", polished with reeded band. Gold cuvette. White enamel with subsidiary seconds. Blued steel Breguet hands. 18—, gilt brass, bar caliber, 23 jewels, early keyless winding with unusual hand-setting by means of a sethand push, rising the intermediate wheel to engage the steel wheel driving the hands. Pivoted detent escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Repeating on gongs, with slide in the band. Signed on the dial and cuvette. In good condition. Diam. 48mm.
