James Nardin, Locle (Swiss), No. 9547, circa 1860. Very fine 18 ct. gold, open hunting cased keywind watch, in original rose-wood fitted box, with certificate. Four body, massive, "bassine et filets", polished with reeded band. Gold cuvette engine-turned on the border. White enamel with Roman numerals and sunk subsidiary seconds. Blued steel Breguet hands. 18-, nickel plated, "fausses côtes" decoration, caliber identical to that used by Jules Jurgensen, gold train of wheels, 15 jewels, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Signed on the dial, case and movement. In very good condition. Diam. 52 mm. Notes This watch is almost identical to that produced by Jules Jurgensen in Le Locle à the same period
