Dumas, Suc. de Gannery à st. Nicolas, près de Dieppe, No. 303, circa 1855. Notes Onesime Dumas, pupil of Auguste Louis Berthoud, Louis Berthoud's grandson and the nephew of Henri Motel was the first French maker to produce chronometers with a caliber drawn from that used in England. This is a very good example of this new production. It is interesting to point-out that even the box is of English type, with glazed upper part with hinged lid.
