Patek Philippe & Cie. , Genève, No. 13661, case No.13661, made for Tiffany & Co., New York, circa 1858. Fine small 18 ct. gold and enamel hunting cased, early keyless, diamondset watch. Four body, massive "bassine et filets", bezels and band chased with formai decoration, cover and back with a blue translucent enamel over engine-tur ning, the cover decorated with a diamond inlaid bunch of flowers, the back, with a diamond framed gold cartouche engraved: "Mary". Gold cuvette engine-turned on the border. White enamel with Roman numerals and centered with a light star decoration. Blued steel Breguet hands. 14-gilt brass, bar caliber, 15 jewels, straight line lever esca pement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Earliest type of stem winding as invented by Adrien Philippe (French Patent No. 1317 of 22 April 1845). Signed on the cuvette. In good condition. Diam. 38 mm.
