Henry Capt, Genève, circa 1800. Very fine 18 ct. gold and enamel, musical automaton watch Engine turned, sunburst pattern, with reeded band ccentric white enamel with Breguet numerals. Dial plate enamelled with an interior scene with applied vari-coloured gold automaton figures of a lady playing the harp, a dancing child and a performing monkey. Gold spade hands. Full plate gilt brass, cylinder escapement with continantal cock. Pin drum musical train,released at-will. Very good condition. Diam.56 mm. This is a particulary rare model with regard to the automaton scene. The musical train is illustrated and decribed in the Rees Cyclopaedia.
