Extremely fine and rare, "World Time", 18ct gold gentleman' s wristwatch, with two crowns, with 18 ct gold Patek Philippe bracelet. massive, polished, lapidated lugs. mat silver revolving ring dial bearing the names of 40 towns of the world, at the centre, a "guilloché" gold small dial bearing the signature and Roman numerals, concentric, a revolving dial in 24 hours for the diurnal and nocturnal hours. The windingcrown next to the 3 adjusts the hours and the 24 hours ring; the winding-crown next to the 9 turns the ring with the places names. Gold fancy hands. This "World Time" system was invented and procluced for Patek Philippe by Louis Cottier who also supplied such watches to Agassiz and Vacheron & Constantin.
