Very elegant and unique 18 ct. gold pocket chronometer with twin barrel, chronometer escapement, one minute tourbillon regulator, retrograde jumping hours and power reserve indication. In original red morocco fitted box with gold male key, short tapered link gold chain and certificate. Double body engine-turned, marked "G. ( George Daniels) with London hallmarks for 1973, the back centred with the monogram "T.E.", the band engraved: "Made by George Daniels for Thomas Engel in mutual esteem of". Articulated crescent pendant drawn from that of Sylvain Mairet. D. Silver engine-turned with eccentric minute ring, retrograde hour sector, subsidiary seconds and 32 hour up-and-down scale. Daniels remains alone as the only maker working entirely to his own designs and his own inventions, making every part in his own workshop, without any assistance.
