Three body, "consular", cover and back polished, marked "7.W." (John Widdowson), with integrate dome. White enamel with Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds. Blued steel " peat" hands. Hinged gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain and maintaining power, rack-lever escapement with 15 tooth escape wheel, plain steel three-arm balance, flat balance spring with regulator, gilt brass balance cock engraved with decoration and "Patent" , diamond endstone. Gilt brass dust-cap. Signed on the back plate. In very good condition. Diam. 55 mm. Notes The inscription "Patent" on the balance cock, refers to the invention of the rack-lever escapement patented by Litherland in 1791.
