J. Windmills, London, circa 1730. Small, brass, hour striking, lantern dock with alarm. Brass posted frame with dolphin top-frets front and sides, plain side doors, top bell beneath strap and final. Silvered Roman chapter ring foliate engraved centre alarm setting dise. Blued steel single hand. Weight driven two train, verge escapement with short-bob-pendulum, striking train with locking plate, verge alarm train on the back. Signed on the dial In good condition with some restoration. Dim. 25 x 11 x 8 cm.
