Fonck à Berne, circa 1750. Fine and unusual eight day going timepiece. Similar in design to a traditional Bernoise nocturne of the saine period, with bronze rocaille head and food pieces, and cast bronze curved goat feet, legs with leaf decoration. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring (slightly restored). Pierced and engraved Louis XV hands. Brass rectangular with going barrel, verge escapement, short pendulum with silk suspension. Signed on the dial and on an enamel cartouche above the dial. In good condition. Dim. 30 x 18 x 10 cm.
