After Edgar Degas (French, 1834-1917). "Dancer Holding Her Foot", cast bronze, incised signature behind foot "Degas". Likely a later casting of the original, figural bronze sculpture depicting a female dancer in the nude at full length bending her right leg at the knee and holding her foot up with her right hand as she peers down at its sole, her left arm held out from her body to balance the pose, and her long hair full on top and tied back into a pony tail that drapes over her right shoulder. Approximately 17" x 7.25" x 5.
