Camerden & Forster, New York, French, circa 1890. Fine black and gilt bronze hour and half hour striking and repeating carriage clock with alarm. Gilt bronze, glazed "pillars", entirely decorated with chased champlevé, bird, flower and insect decoration on a black ground. Two piece white and grey enamel with Roman numerals in cartouches and centred with a gilt rosette decoration, subsidiary alarm setting dial. Black and gilt bronze dial plate with a decoration similar to that of the case. Brass rectangular with going barrel both on the going and the striking train, platform lateral lever escapement, bimetallic balance, blued steel flat balance spring. Striking, repeating and alarm on a gong with button on the top. Signed on the dial. In very good condition. Dim. 14,5 x 10 x 8,5 cm.
