Galle Rue Vivienne à Paris, circa 1815. Fine 8 day going, hour and hait hour striking mantel clock depicting Venus and Adonis drinking from the fountain of eternal love. White enamel with Roman numerals. Gilt brass chased hands. Brass circular with going barrels both for the going and the striking train, anchor escapement, pendulum with silk suspension. Striking on a bell with count wheel on the back plate. Signed on the dial. In very good condition. Dim. 45 x 52 x 19 cm.
