Allen Walker, London, made for the Dutch market, with London hallmarks for 1783. Fine 20 ct. gold pair cased repousse watch. Double body outer, the back with a mythological scene repousse in high relief and further rocaille decoration. Inner bassine polished. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring. Gilt brass Louis XV hands. Hinged gilt brass full plate with baluster pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring and Dutch style cock pierced and engraved with a crown, the head of a man, a winged sand glass and further symbols, polished steel endpiece. Signed on the back plate. In very good condition. Diam. 47 mm.
