Breguet à Paris, Swiss, circa 1800. Fine and unusual silver watch with a concealed painted enamel erotic scene. Three body, Directoire, polished, the fixed cuvette enamelled with a painted scene of a young couple inventing a new way to dance "la branle" (famous French folk-dance). White enamel with Breguet numerals. Gold hands. Hinged gilt brass full plate with baluster pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass continental cock with blued steel end-piece. Signed on the back plate. In good condition. Diam. 58 mm.
