Not signed, probably made by Ernest Guinand, in Locle, Swiss, circa 1875. Extremely fine 18 ct. gold, hunting-cased keyless pocket chronometer with one minute tourbillon regulator. Four body massive "bassine et filets", entirely engraved in high relief with formai foliage patterns, the cover with monogram "M.B.". Glazed gold cuvette. Notes This watch is described and illustrated in R. Meis: Das Tourbillon, p.153. The calibre is typical of that used in Locle for the making of the highest grade tourbillon watches particularly by Pellaton and Guinand.
