Jas. Mc. Cabe, Royal Exchange, London, No. 01204, with London hallmarks for 1856. Fine 18 ct. gold hunting cased watch with enamel portrait. White enamel with Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds. Gold "fleurs de lys", hands. 18-, frosted and gilt, three quarter plate, fusee with chain and maintaining power, single wheel duplex escapement, cut bimetallic balance, flat balance spring. Signed on the dial and back plate. In very good condition. Diam. 50 mm. Not signed, Swiss, circa 1870. Very fine and rare 18 ct. gold and enamel, hunting cased keyless watch with five enamel portraits. C. Five body, massive, "bassine et filets", polished, the cover with a blue champleve enamelled monogram matching that of the other watch and set inside with the fine enamel portrait of Mrs. Schuster, almost identical to that of the other watch, the back with the champleve enamelled coat of arms of the Schuster family and the motto: "In Gott Allein". The portraits of the four daughters are set on the gold cuvette, inside the back and within a secret compartment hinged in the back. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and sunk subsidiary seconds. Blued steel "spade" hands. M. 18-, gilt brass, 15 jewels, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. In very good condition. Diam. 53 mm.
