Hamilton & Co. , London and Calcutta, No. 3708, made for the Indian market, with London hallmarks for 1871. Fine and rare, 18 ct. gold and enamel, "cabriolet", diamond set watch. Six body, massive, "bassine et filets", chased with a formai decoration, the cover with a eight spoke diamond inlaid star over a blue enamelled ground with vine-leaf decoration, the back with a blue champleve enamelled decoration in a Mauresque pattern (slightly restored). The watch is revolving inside the case, in such a way it can be used as an open-face or as a hunter. Gold cuvette. White enamel with Roman numerals and sunk subsidiary seconds. Gold "spade" hands.
