Chinese, likely 20th century. A carved jade sculpture in the form of an adolescent ram depicted standing square with head facing forward and small horns arching back behind its ears, allover with carved archaic patterning of dragons, scrolls, and other auspicious symbols, the jade to a fitted hardwood stand on four bracket feet. Apparently unmarked. Overall approximately 5.625" x 7.5" x 3.125". Provenance: From the Private Collection of Benno & Babette Rothschild, Columbus, Georgia.
