Not signed, France, circa 1840. Rare and interesting, quarter repeating pocket chronometer with special escapement. Silver, "forme quatre baguettes". Silver cuvette. White enamel with Breguet numerals. Blued steel Breguet hands. Notes According to Charles Gros, only two or three escapements of this type are known to exist. An escapement very similar was constructed in 1860 by M. Drompt, from the Ecole d'Horlogerie de Cluse, however, the actual watch is certainly much earlier.
