Breguet No. 3693, "Chronomètre de bord", sold to Air France in 1938. Fine mahogany keyless deck-watch. Double body mahogany, the movement is set on a fixed black dial plate. Mat silver with Breguet numerals and offset subsidiary seconds. Blued steel "spade" hands. Notes Such board chronometers were usually sold mounted in insulated metallic boxes. This instrument was certainly mounted by Air France into the actual fine mahogany box of deck-watch type, in order to be used by an executive officer of Air France as a deskwatch.
